About My Practice
I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) based in the Seattle area. I've been practicing in Washington State since 2000 and have been independently licensed since 2004. My clinical background spans educational, medical, and community mental health settings.
How I Work
My approach is person-centered, relational, and tailored to each individual. I draw on treatments that are both evidence-based and endorsed by people with lived experience because research and real-world knowledge both matter.
I work from a social justice, intersectional, and anti-racist framework. That means I take seriously the ways that systemic oppression, injustice, and cultural context shape my clients' lives and mental health. I have a neurodiversity affirming practice and receive ongoing training and consultation to provide culturally responsive care.
Where you feel stuck is not a character flaw. Those patterns developed for good reasons, usually in response to challenges around safety, attachment, trauma, or health. My job is to explore what those reasons are and for us to work with them, not label them as problems to eliminate.
My style is warmly direct and accepting. I practice within person-centered, narrative, and trans-inclusive feminist frameworks. I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to collaborate, reflect progress, and offer insight along the way.
Clinical Background
For over more than two decades of practice I have worked with youth and adults across a range of settings including Central Youth and Family Services, Youth Eastside Services, Children's Hospital, Cancer Lifeline, The Gathering Place, the Cross Cultural Health Care Program, and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and SCCA. I am a member of the Washington State Society for Clinical Social Work.
